Hip-Hop Changes Guards Almost Everyday
Thelist of top hip hop
songs are not going to stay the same not even a
little bit of a 24 hour period. If you ran a Billboard chart
website then you or your staff would not have a day off in an
entire 365 day period. Because there are so many artist in the
genres of music a song is always being released or an album it
always being recorded.
Hip-Hop leads the pack with this type of
frequency. Rappers seem to release a new mp3 on the
internet every hour by the hundreds. You see we are not just
talking about commercial major label artist but also
independent cats like the Dip Set's Jim Jones.
With the technology like Youtube from Google
underground rap music also thrives within the charts. Rap
albums lead the industry in money ventures to, it is a
multi-billion dollar industry and nothing comes close to the
revenue the rap artist help produce other than Pop Stars.
However, professionals say that lately audio from hip hop has
taken over in the music media area. Pop stars are getting by on
movies and Shows.
Turn to your local pop station radio in your
city and chances are you will hear a rap song somewhere in
rotation with the hour. Records and the sells of them dictate
what will be played on that station especially if they plan on
being number one or two in the city they are competing in.
Top rap songs are what most people are looking
for anyway.
Think about it and just look at the last couple
a commercials you seen on TV. You probably didn't even pay
attention the hip hop beats or rappers voice in the background.
Underground hip hop is not that powerful yet
but it stills makes a bunch of money due to again Myspace
and YouTube.
HipHop has
come a long way too. It's no longer the project rhyming in
parks with Djs spinning in alleys with breakdancers on
carboard boxes. No graffiti artist hanging around the set to
spray down walls of buildings either. The culture is now on
5th avenue like Russell Simmons and Phat Farm. You can now
go to MTV.com or BET.com and look at the abums of the year
and hot singles and music that leads the day or week. You
can even go as far as looking back in archive databases for
at least 3 years I know. Labels usually release their number
changes on Monday and by Wednesday they are circulating in
the music media network. Billboard magazine has the most
reliable information about the lyrics and Hip-Hop Video
musicicans you look for. MTV Video Music is pretty powerful
too. It's the music online that drives people crazy for mp3s
and downloads of song lyrics and ringtones too.
